Starting from a rural kampong to a vibrant new town, Bukit Panjang’s changing landscape and development under goes a big transformation. It was home to many farmers engaging in growing of agricultural products and rearing of pigs & poultry. Bukit Panjang Town was planned to follow closely to the existing contours in order to preserve the existing hilly landscape. Hence, the focus for the new hawker centre is to induce a building form that represent the icon of Bukit Panjang identity.
